Snuggle Season Fragrance Oil

What it smells like and what it does in a base

Toasted coconut and creamy pumpkin, whipped to perfection, with just enough nutmeg and clove to remind us that we don't need an excuse to stay in bed a little longer. All we need is a warm blanket, this scent and nowhere else to be.

For the formulator, this is the collection's cold-process pick: it is rated suitable for CP soap, which a creamy pumpkin accord rarely is. The catch is the IFRA certificate, which is unusually tight — 2% across most skin categories and 1% for body sprays. In our bases it only bites on body sprays, and our 2% scrub and bath bases sit exactly at the ceiling with no headroom. Vanillin sits around 2–4%, enough to warm a white base to ivory over a few weeks.

Formulator's shorthand: the soaper's oil in this set. Cold process is where it earns its place — just respect the low body-spray ceiling.

Sweater Weather

Seven scents for the season when the only plan is a blanket, a book and nowhere to be. Mornings on the porch, afternoons in bed, evenings off the clock — cosy gourmands, one spiced chai and one autumn floral.

Tagged year-round rather than seasonal, and that is accurate. The Sweater Weather window is a merchandising decision, not a limit on the oil.

Behavior in base

The four things that go wrong, and whether they will here

DiscolorationExpected — mild~2–4% vanillin. A white base warms to ivory or cream over a few weeks. A Vanilla Stabilizer holds it if colour matters.
Flashpoint200 °F / 93 °CHigh, with a comfortable margin over a melt-and-pour pour around 140 °F.
Cold process soapSuitable — testedRated for cold process soap. Expect some warming of colour from the vanillin; plan the design around it.
Candles & waxNot recommendedNot rated for candles. Use it in skin and bath products.

Pure & undiluted

Why our oils behave differently from most

Many suppliers sell fragrance oils cut with carrier oils or diluents to reduce cost. Ours are concentrated, pure, undiluted and cosmetic grade. A concentrated oil means a lower fragrance load per batch — a little goes a long way, and your cost per unit drops even when the per-ounce price does not.

Product compatibility is not the responsibility of Essentials By Catalina, Inc. We strongly advise sampling before committing to larger quantities so you can evaluate performance, compatibility and safety in your own formulation. Keep all products out of children's reach.
