La Catrina Fragrance Oil

The most complex fragrance in the collection, and the only one that is not really a food or a flower. Berry and rose open it, but they sit over smoky oud with a green herbal-leaf accent cutting across, and the dry-down is woody amber with genuine earth underneath. It is neither floral nor gourmand — it is a proper oriental, and it behaves like one.

Around 5% vanillin means a white base will warm over time, though less aggressively than the heavy bakery oils here. Flashpoint at 196 °F is comfortable. The thing to plan for is not the chemistry but the strength: an oud-anchored accord will dominate a blend at a fraction of the load you would use for anything else in this set.

This fragrance is new to the line and its IFRA certificate is still being finalised. We are not publishing usage percentages until it is issued — a ceiling we cannot certify is worse than no number at all.

Many suppliers sell fragrance oils cut with carrier oils or diluents to reduce cost. Ours are concentrated, pure, undiluted and cosmetic grade. A concentrated oil means a lower fragrance load per batch — a little goes a long way, and your cost per unit drops even when the per-ounce price does not.
