Mixing Recommendations
Follow these steps for consistent results
Work at room temperature
Mix within a range of 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). No heating is required.
Add fragrance, colorant, and additives
Mix in slowly until fully incorporated and uniform. Hand-mixing with a spatula or an electric mixer with a paddle attachment is recommended for this base.

Shelf Life
This product has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored properly.
Store in a Cool, Dry Place
Keep containers at 60–80 °F (15–27 °C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid storing near windows, radiators, or in vehicles.
Keep Containers Sealed
Always replace lids and caps tightly after each use. Exposure to air can introduce contaminants and accelerate degradation.
Use Clean Tools
When scooping or transferring product, use clean utensils to prevent cross-contamination. Avoid reaching in with bare hands.

Hi, can you tell me the directions on this bath whip base? I cannot find it on your website. And mine are not doubling in size. Am I not whipping it long enough please help.

Hi Lonora, you want to use the paddle attachment on a stand mixer to incorporate air into the Bath Whip. There are several videos on the product page, and you can also check this out on our blog: https://essentialsbycatalina.com/blog/whipped-foaming-sugar-scrub-recipe/ The longer you whip, the fluffier the base will become. Note, if the base is cold, you want to whip longer, just like whipping butter or cream. Thank you!

How did you get into the more stable scoopable consistency? -

Is the fragrance load per pound? As in is it a 2% load for one pound? -
Good Morning, the 2% fragrance load is 2% of the total amount of product you are adding to, which if a gallon, would be 2% of the 128 ounce gallon, or 1.28 ounces x two. Thank you

Can I use this whipped soap as an shampoo? -
Good Morning, while the Foaming Bath Whip is a soap, it is not formulated specifically for hair and does not contain the conditioning ingredients a hair formula would. You are welcome to test it out for your purpose, but we would recommend one of our shampoos for hair, as they are purposely formulated with hair-nourishing ingredients. Thank you

Since it’s reformulation… is it just a more dense consistency after whipping than the original formula? Just checking because we are finding that it is definitely still a creamy consistency… but quite a bit heavier? -

We can’t get the reformulated version to whip up as fluffy as the older version. Is there anything we can do to make it lighter? We add sugar for exfoliation already.

Hello Kim, in our testing, this reformulation whips up larger than the previous formulation. Are you adding the sugar before, or after whipping the base? We recommend adding the sugar after whipping to ensure that the base has a chance to rise prior to being weighed down by the sugar. I hope this information is helpful.

Ok so I ordered a 8lb base from natures garden COMPLETE TRASH!! Very dry on the skin, sticky and just a mess well that was about $50 wasted and I saw someone use this base in a recipe and decided to give it a chance, I tried a tiny pea size and it lathered AMAZING and not sticky, im so happy I found this lol please don’t ever discontinue this!! I definitely will be ordering the big one next THANKS!!!!!!

I am more than pleased! First it shipped out the very next day after I placed my order and was delivered withing less than 72 hours after ordering! WSP has been taking weeks, like over a month to get anything to me!
Immediately after taking the lid off I knew this base was going to be wonderful! No strong preservative smell or strong soap smell at all! And it looked so clean and beautiful! I used it to make a small batch of my Whipped Sugar Body Soap and OMG… it turned out perfect! So much softer, creamier, and moisturizing, than any other foaming bath whip base I have ever tried!
I definitely recommend this base!

Worth its Weight in Gold!
My 5 yr old son has x-type icthyosis (think similar to eczema but with dry scaly skin rather than red patches) and with the right Oils and Butters (along with a sugar or salt mix) he comes out of the bath soft and smooth and smelling like chocolate cookies (his words and he loves it). I love that just by changing the scent later on this is a product he can continue to use as he grows older. It’s also great that by mixing differently or adding different additives it works for my whole family.
