Mixing Recommendations
Follow these steps for consistent results
Melt the base
Melt in a double boiler, or a microwave for smaller quantities. Do not allow the soap to come to a boil.
Add fragrance and other additives
Once fully melted, add your fragrance or essential oil, colorant, and any other additives. Mix in slowly until fully incorporated.
Mix gently, without whipping in air
Hand-mixing with a spatula works well for small batches. For larger volumes, use an electric mixer with a paddle attachment. Avoid incorporating too much air while mixing.
Pour, cool, and un-mold
Pour into your mold and let rest until fully solid. Silicone molds work best for most applications; wood block molds are great for bulk quantities. Once fully cooled, un-mold and wrap — your soaps are ready.

Hi Joellanna, our soaps are all glycerin based so they are not going to be as hard as cold processed, but if you want to firm it up you can try adding stearic acid. Here is a link to the product page which includes usage rates.
