Description

Usage

Iron oxides are most commonly used as non-bleeding colorants in Melt & Pour and Cold Process Soap.

There are multiple benefits to using iron oxides in your soaps. Oxides are safe for use in personal care products, pure in tone, have a matte finish and have been filtered to eliminate impurities. Use one by itself to increase soaps’ tonal color or mix with other colorants to achieve deeper tones. If used in clear bases, due to the nature of this colorant, they will not remain transparent. Mix well to prevent speckling.

Black iron oxide will achieve a pastel grey color in a white soap base.
Red iron oxide will achieve a pastel orange color in a white soap base.
