Aloe Vera Gel
Rich in water, Aloe is wonderful for supplying moisture to the skin with a protective layer that locks it in. The plant naturally produces the hormones gibberellins and auxin which both have anti-inflammatory properties to stimulate cell growth. Fragrance & Essential Oils
Give your formulation its signature scent
Solubilizer guidance: Fragrances and essential oils often need help fully incorporating into this water-based gel. Pre-mix your Polysorbate 20 with your fragrance before adding it to the base — start at a 1:1 ratio and increase up to 5:1 depending on the specific fragrance. Small-batch testing is strongly recommended. If a fragrance doesn't solubilize on the first attempt, adding more Polysorbate to the already-scented base will not correct it; the pre-mix step is essential.

Fold in additives slowly until the mixture is fully homogeneous. This base is particularly well-suited to facial, eye, and treatment formulations, so we recommend water-compatible actives:
Mixing Recommendations
Follow these steps for consistent results
Work at room temperature
Mix within a range of 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). No heating is required.
Add in the right order
Blend in your pre-mixed fragrance and solubilizer first, then colorant, then additives — adding each one slowly until fully incorporated.
Mix until uniform
Hand-mixing with a spatula works well for small batches. For larger volumes, use an electric mixer with a paddle attachment.

Shelf Life
This product has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored properly.
Store in a Cool, Dry Place
Keep containers at 60–80 °F (15–27 °C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid storing near windows, radiators, or in vehicles.
Keep Containers Sealed
Always replace lids and caps tightly after each use. Exposure to air can introduce contaminants and accelerate degradation.
Use Clean Tools
When scooping or transferring product, use clean utensils to prevent cross-contamination. Avoid reaching in with bare hands.

Can you mix this with any of the body butter bases for a sunburn relief type cream? -
Products used for treating and preventing sunburns—such as medicated after-sun ointments, pain-relief creams, and sunscreens—are regulated as Over-the-Counter (OTC) drugs. Because their active ingredients require federal regulation, they are available without a prescription but must conform to strict FDA Sunscreen Approval and nonprescription FDA Releases New Enforcement Policy for OTC Sunscreen guidelines rather than cosmetic standards. Keep in mind that while medical/therapeutic creams for sunburns are technically OTC drugs, simple, non-medicated moisturizers, lotions, or pure Aloe Vera gels intended only to soothe dry skin and not to treat the sunburn itself fall under cosmetic and personal care products

Are there any tips you can give to help me create an eye serum or moisturizer? -
Hi Katlyn,
Many of our customers use our Eyeliss ingredient to create eye serums. Eyeliss™ helps reduce puffiness by reducing fluid buildup beneath the eyes and can be added directly to a lotion base like our Aloe Gel Base to create a high end eye treatment. Usage rates are posted on the product page.

Good Afternoon, as for the percent of additives, please refer to the recommended usage rates for the additives you will incorporate. All additives should be “Cosmetic Grade” which are already properly preserved, so there is no need to add more. Thank you

Good Morning, we do not advise adding Aloe Gel to a body wash, as it could cause instability in the soap formula. Thank you
