Mixing Recommendations
Follow these steps for consistent results
Work at room temperature
Mix within a range of 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). No heating is required.
Add fragrance, colorant, and additives
Mix in slowly until fully incorporated and uniform. Hand-mixing with a spatula or an electric mixer with a paddle attachment is recommended for this base.

Follow these guidelines to get the most out of your product
Shelf Life
This product has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored properly.
Store in a Cool, Dry Place
Keep containers at 60–80 °F (15–27 °C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Like all gel soaps, this base thickens further in cold temperatures — that's normal. If it's too thick for your needs, it can be thinned with up to 10% preserved deionized or distilled water.
Keep Containers Sealed
Always replace lids and caps tightly after each use. Exposure to air can introduce contaminants and accelerate degradation.
Use Clean Tools
When scooping or transferring product, use clean utensils to prevent cross-contamination. Avoid reaching in with bare hands.

Hello, can you add a shimmer mica to the suspension bodywash? -
The Suspension Shower Gel is formulated to suspend particles, and mica or glitter is a great choice. We recommend a starting point of 1% and going from there.

Do you need to thin it with distilled water.
One customer said it was too thick.-
Our liquid/gel soaps are formulated thick so they don’t thin out with the addition of fragrance oil. While it is normal for gel soaps to become even thicker when cold, you are welcome to thin the base if you choose. Just make sure you use preserved DI or Distilled water.

Hi Michelle, the Suspension Shower Gel is formulated thick in order to suspend particles. Like all gel soaps, it gets thicker when cold. If you wish to thin it, you can do so by adding no more than 10% Deionized, preserved water. Thank you

Do I have to add preservatives to this base? And what percentage of as in oils can I add to it without compromising the texture? And can perfume oils be added to it without an Emulsifiers or only water soluble Fragrance oils? And I know this may be a little FARFETCH, but is it possible to lower the pH of this base To make a feminine wash? -
Good Morning, Kyndra, all of our bases are finished product, ready to use as-is. There is no need to add additional preservative.
Detailed mixing instructions and percentages can be found under the “Customization” tab on the respective product pages. We recommend using only pure uncut, cosmetic grade fragrance oils, which when used at the suggested percentages, do not need solubilizer. We also recommend always testing for compatibility before making a large batch, as fragrance oils are comprised of over 300 different components, each which reacts differently once added to a base. We have tested all of the fragrances we sell with our bases, so purchasing from EBC and following our specific customization recommendations ensures a great result.

Good Morning, Belmary, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the suspension formula will suspend your additives. They will not sink. We do, however, recommend you only use cosmetic grade additives that have been irradiated to eradicate potential contaminants. Thanks so much.

How much natural oils can be added to this suspension shower gel? Does Jojoba oil qualifies as your natural oil? Thank you -
Hi Sharell, beyond the suggested 1% fragrance or essential oil, you must understand that oil hinders lather, so while you may be able to add a very small percentage, it will affect the soap’s overall performance. If you still wish to add natural oils, we recommend testing in small batches for compatibility and stability until you achieve your desired result. Hope this helps!
