Mixing Recommendations
Follow these steps for consistent results
Work at room temperature
Mix within a range of 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). No heating is required.
Add fragrance, colorant, and additives
Mix in slowly until fully incorporated and uniform. Hand-mixing with a spatula or an electric mixer with a paddle attachment is recommended for this base.

Shelf Life
This product has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored properly.
Store in a Cool, Dry Place
Keep containers at 60–80 °F (15–27 °C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid storing near windows, radiators, or in vehicles.
Keep Containers Sealed
Always replace lids and caps tightly after each use. Exposure to air can introduce contaminants and accelerate degradation.
Use Clean Tools
When scooping or transferring product, use clean utensils to prevent cross-contamination. Avoid reaching in with bare hands.

Can the luxurious shower gel be thickened after adding FO’s? Every scent I use causes it to break down and become watery. I’ve seen others comment with the same issue, but I don’t see a solution to the problem. I add less than the recommended FO and it happens every time. Thank you! -

How would Menthol Crystals be added to this soap? Could it be dissolved in some Glycerin ir a carrier oil then added? -
Hi Nikole, the menthol crystals are soluble in only oil or alcohol, either of which may break down the shower gel, so we recommend testing in small batches. Thank you

We have multiple liquid soaps with names such as body wash, shower gel, face wash, bubble bath, multi-application, but they are all high quality liquid soaps and are interchangeable. You are free to choose the one that best suits your intended use and call it whatever you please. Hope this helps

How do ppl dispense from a pail? -
Hi Michael, how customers dispense from the 5-gallon pails depends on their filling situation. Most will empty the entire pail into the hopper of a filling set up. If that is not your situation you can search “5 gallon pail pumps” and there are plenty out there, even on Amazon. You will need to obtain the lid with bung as well, as our lids do not come with a bung. Hope you find this useful

Will fragrances made for candles work in body wash? -
Hi Elaine, that’s a great question. While some candle fragrances are considered “skin safe,” they are composed of an entirely different solvent profile than cosmetic grade fragrances. The solvents in candle grade fragrance break down gels and washes, cloud and/or pool in sprays, and are generally not compatible with personal care bases. It’s wise to only use pure, uncut, cosmetic grade fragrance and essential oil in personal care products, and as always, compatibility test in small samples prior to making a large batch. Hello, When I add fragrance to the luxurious shower gel base it It becomes very thin and runny, ( I add 1% by weight) is there a way I can thicken this?

Hi Byron, are you adding pure, uncut, cosmetic grade FO or EO? We carry close to 500 different fragrances, all of which have been tested with our Luxurious Shower Gel, and do not thin the base at 1%. Fragrances that have been cut with carrier oils can cause instability in the base, so we always recommend going with Cosmetic grade oils. Thank you

Yes, I only use cosmetic grade F.O, one of the oils I used is the cucumber melon from Essentials by Catalina the shower gel works fine but the viscosity thins out quite a bit. I’m just wondering how it can be thickened some. -
Hi Byron, cucumber Melon is one of our oldest fragrances, and we have never experienced thinning with it before. One suggestion might be to reference our batch calculator to ensure you are adding the correct percentage, i.e. 1% = 1.28 ounces to one gallon of shower gel. Hi Camille, thank you for reaching out. The answer is no. The shower gel is a finished product as-is, that can be used unscented as such or customized with fragrance. Nothing else is needed.

Good Morning, we recommend adding Fragrance or Essential oils at the recommended usage rate listed on the “Customization” tab. Adding carrier oils to liquid soap will decrease lather and risk breaking the formula. Thank you

Hello, I was inquiring about your Luxurious Bath and Shower Gel Base. Can I add Carrier Oil to this formula? It only mentions FO and EO. I like the lather, not feeling a lot of moisturizing though. Thank you -
Hello Sharell, we would not recommend a carrier oil because oil kills lather, and breaks down viscosity in most gel formulations. You can however add extra non oil based moisturizers like glycerin to help with moisturization. I hope this is helpful.

Can you customized the formula? like using different preservative to increase the shelf life? -
Hello Lauren, that would require a development fee for lab testing to ensure that a different preservative would be compatible with the formula. The minimum would also be 1 drum (55 gallons) which would be a lot higher in price compared to our stock formula, as the luxurious bath and shower gel is made in large 1000 gallon batches normally. Hello, I was the one that was asking about adding kukui oil to this. I was told it’s not recommended but to also check the customization area on product page. I have done that and see lots of oils on it. So, even though this is ready to go, I would love to add some kind of humectant/moisture if possible. Is there anything you can recommend to do that, that is not an oil like kukui? The wash is wonderful but I’d love to customize it by adding an extra hint of moisture along with the scent if it’s doable and won’t ruin anything. Thanks again -
HI Connie, I’m not sure where you are looking, but the additive suggestions for the Luxurious shower gel are Botanical & Herbal Extracts
Antioxidants & Vitamins, Emollients & Humectants, not oils, other than the standard 1% FO or EO recommended under the “Customization” tab, of course. You are welcome to test the kukui in the soap, but chances are it will cause the formulation to break/separate.
