Mix within a range of 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). No heating is required.
Add fragrance, colorant, and additives
Mix in slowly until fully incorporated and uniform. Hand-mixing with a spatula or an electric mixer with a paddle attachment is recommended for this base.

Shelf Life
This product has a shelf life of 1 year from the date of manufacture when stored properly.
Store in a Cool, Dry Place
Keep containers at 60–80 °F (15–27 °C), away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid storing near windows, radiators, or in vehicles.
Keep Containers Sealed
Always replace lids and caps tightly after each use. Exposure to air can introduce contaminants and accelerate degradation.
Use Clean Tools
When scooping or transferring product, use clean utensils to prevent cross-contamination. Avoid reaching in with bare hands.

The scrub leaves behind an oil film and doesn\’t rinse off clean. Can I add more Poly 80 to avoid that? -
Being an oil-based scrub, the Safflower and Rice Bran oils in the Glowing Skin formula are intended to moisturize skin. The addition of more solubilizer can turn the formula sticky. Is the glowing skin sugar scrub base unscented and then can be scented with 2%? -
Our Glowing Skin Sugar Scrub is an unscented finished product (as are all of our bases), ready to use as-is or to customize as you see fit. Please consult the “Customization” tab on the product page for detailed mixing instructions including percentages. We do recommend and up to 2% fragrance load to the sugar scrub, as it is not a leave-on product. (Pure, uncut, cosmetic grade FO).

Should / could this be whipped for a better experience? -
The Glowing Skin Sugar Scrub is an oil-based scrub and therefore most likely will not whip well. If you’d like to make a whipped scrub, we suggest using our Foaming Bath Whip and adding sugar.

Hi Barb, no. All of our bases are finished product, ready to use as-is, or to customize with fragrance and/or additives if you wish. The Sugar Scrub is already preserved and already contains the proper ratio of sugar. All you need to add is fragrance and color. Thank you

Good Morning, our Sugar Scrub Base is formulated with Cosmetic grade ingredients, not food grade, so we do not recommend for use as a lip scrub. Thank you

but you have 12 individual gallon containers. If we buy 4 individual, can you adjust the price to the 4 pack?-
