Store in a Cool, Dry Place

I am interested in your foaming scrub. Does a regular mica powder work? Or liquid colorant -
Liquid Colorant is what we’d recommend, but micas should work as well. We’d recommend testing to see if the micas provide enough color.

Can I add lemon peel to this to make it a great “chef’s” hand scrub? -
Hi Lisa, you definitely can, however, please make sure to only add Cosmetic Grade additives that have been irradiated to eliminate contaminants. Thank you

Hello, I have a question regarding your Foaming Cleansing Scrub Base. I understand up to 2% fragrance oil can be added but what’s the recommended percentage of additives (specifically butters & oils) that can be added without breaking the emulsion or causing the base to lose its consistency/stability? -
Hi Dee, when adding butters and oils to finished bases, there is no set percentage recommended, as it is a matter of testing in small batches until you reach your desired consistency, then stability testing to make sure the formula remains stable. The same is true when using additives (extracts, vitamins, botanicals, peptides). You want to consult the usage rates posted on the additive page, however, determining how much any given base can handle is a matter of compatibility testing. In this case remember, oils/butters inherently hinder lather, so if you plan to add them to a soap, which the foaming cleansing scrub is, it will affect the performance. Hope you find this useful

Hi, hope all is well! Can this be used as a face scrub as well as body scrub? -
Hi Valerie, Thank you for reaching out. Sugar is not the first choice for facial scrubs, as the irregular shaped particles can be sharp. Facial scrubs usually use jojoba, poppy, or strawberry seeds, as they are a rounded exfoliant. They can be mixed into our foaming bath whip to create the same type scrub, but for face.
