Follow these steps for consistent results

Mix within a range of 20–25 °C (68–77 °F). No heating is required.
Add fragrance, colorant, and additives
Mix in slowly until fully incorporated and uniform. Hand-mixing with a spatula or an electric mixer with a paddle attachment is recommended for this base.

We recommend up to 1% fragrance load to this base. If you choose to add other ingredients beyond that, you will want to small batch test, as yes, additions, depending on which, have the potential to change the viscosity of the base.
