Our lovely Genevieve has had a creative knack in visual arts since she was young. Excelling in painting, arts, and crafts. She explored just about every form of creative work. From pottery, to digital design, it seemed like no stone was left un-turned. For birthday and Christmas gifts, she was always given new medias to try. It wasn't until for her 18th birthday she received a box of butters, oils, and lip balm making materials from a loved one. It all came from Essentials by Catalina. She loved this gift so much, she made her own lipsticks and lip balms on her stove top using all sorts of materials found around the house such as her little brothers crayons. This sparked a creative flare with a new media that not only fun to work with, but had an every day use. As time went on she became more interested with the craft of personal care. Such as experimenting with melt and pour soap bases, fragrance, mica, botanical extracts, and much more. Eventually, she landed a summer job filling fragrance and making samples for Essentials by Catalina. Seeing the potential of the bases and what could be made using them. Bringing up her ideas to the companies web developers, it was apparent there was a need for ingredient information, recipes, and inspiration for base uses. She and Cindy happily work side by side to bring inspiration, current information on products, ingredients, and industry topics.
