Cherry is going to be trendy for 2025. From colors to fragrance notes, this bold color will make a big appearance in cosmetics. Pinterest released a prediction board And “cherry coded” was one of the trend predictions. So this Cherry red-cherry pie scented jelly soap will hit the mark on cherry codded.

Our cherry colorant is made with Red No. 40 and is not the same as Red No.4 which has been under scrutiny due to recent changes in usage bans.

Cherry Jelly Soap Materials

You will need:

  • Essentials by Catalina Jelly Soap Base: We recommend you use a double boiler to heat and melt our Soap Jelly Base. This will ensure that it heats slowly and gently, with minimal foaming.
  • Black Cherry Fragrance Oil: This fragrance oil is a deep sweet cherry scent. Perfect for expressing the depths of valentines day passions.
  • Rose Gold Glitter: Adding glitter to this soap is optional. We don’t recommend using mica for this recipe. As it could take away from that perfect cherry red color.
  • Cherry Liquid Soap Colorant: Essentials by Catalina cherry colorant makes the perfect cherry red.
  • Heat source: a double boiler is recommended for this recipe.
  • Heart shaped molds: Since this base is gelatinous, both a HDP plastic or silicone mold will work. In this case, we used a silicone mold.

Steps

liquid jelly soap being mixed
  1. Heat the base until fully melted with minimal stirring. This will ensure that it melts evenly with minimal foaming.
  2. Add fragrance, glitter, and colorant while Soap Jelly is liquid, reheat as needed.
  3. Use care when pouring into molds as liquid will be hot and may warp some plastic containers. We have found that cooling your jars in a cold water bath as you pour can help avoid the warping issue.
  4. Mist the tops with alcohol to disperse bubbles that rise to the top.

How to Use Cherry Jelly Soap Hearts

Cherry Jelly Soap

These Cherry Jelly Soap Hearts are perfect for valentines day. They can be used as part of a heartfelt gift basket or a fun gift that promotes hand washing. Which is a perfect substitute for sugary sweets.

Our jelly Soap Base does not need refrigeration and is stable at room temperature. Made with vegan friendly Chondrus Crispus Powder (Irish Moss Powder) as the ingredient that makes this base jiggly. Our base is NOT made with gelatin, which needs refrigeration to stay solid.

To use: wet the cherry jelly soap and lather rinse off with water. Use as a regular bar of soap, however we recommend using it and then placing it on a soap dish or sponge to keep from sitting in moisture.

Please do not eat this soap. The bright cherry color, fun texture, and mouth watering cherry scent; this soap can arouse temptation. So we recommend making it clear on your label that this is a soap and not meant for consumption.
