Uses

- Recommended percentage: 1-5% depending on formula.

- Purpose: to give hold

- Application: Glitter Lotions with Glitter and or Mica
- Purpose: To set glitter on skin when lotion is applied.
- Recommended percentage: 1% is sufficient.
Interestingly enough, this has also been used in finishing sprays for setting makeup, although we do not have a recommended percentage for this.

- Usage Level: Typical use level 1.0 - 5.0 percent solids
SPECIAL NOTE WHEN USING PVP-K 90 IN LOTION PREPARATIONS
Before using it in your formulations, it will be necessary to dissolve the powder in DI (Distilled Water) water which you should preserve. Solution should be mixed as follows.
- 20% PVP
- 79% DI or Distilled water
- 1% Preservative.( ideally the same one already in the lotion formula)
Mix until dissolved. Add into formula at 1% - 5%.

These are only suggested usage rates. Each formulation is different and you must test in small batches to find the percentages that work best for you. Always start by mixing in a low percentage, then gradually add until you reach your desired result.
